Tusmørke: Underjordisk tusmørke

This Oslo band really deserves a full review! Great vintage psychedelic folk/rock influenced by the Canterbury music scene and Syd Barret vocally. They don’t rock as hard as other retro bands like Witchcraft or Graveyard but they are able to recreate the sound of great progressive bands from the past, like Black Widow, The Incredible String Band or early Caravan. The recording is very good, clear, organic and with a lot of feeling. There are a lot of instruments in the album besides the traditional drums, guitar and bass. Here the flute is one of the main instruments too, but we find also chimes, pianos, mellotron, hammonds and troll noises. Yes, you can say that this has been done before, but I have total respect for bands that are able to pull off things like this. No idea about the lyrics but I guess they sing about something cool related to trolls and forests. This album has remarkable songs played with marvellous musicianship and taste. Really great stuff.
9/10: The forest comes back to life when Tusmørke is playing.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
